Once again thousands packed the front lawn for Homesley & Wingo's 15th Annual Blues and Burritos which was held on September 18, 2015. Guests enjoyed food from a variety of food trucks, beverages from New Belgium Brewing Company and live music all courtesy of the law firm. Donations were accepted for the Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists and S.C.A.N. of Iredell County. This was the final year for Blues & Burritos, but we are proud to say that the event has raised well over $100,000 for charities over the years. We would like to thank the community for all your support over the years.

Thousands attend Homesley & Wingo's 14th Annual Blues and Burritos
which was held on September 19, 2014 on the front lawn of the law firm.
Once again beautiful blue skies brought a large crowd of people out to
the event. Guests enjoyed burritos from Tequila's Mexican Grill, beverages
from New Belgium Brewing Company and music all courtesy of the law firm.
Donations were accepted for the HealthReach Community Clinic and the Lake
Norman Wildlife Conservationists. The event this year raised in excess
of $6,000.00.

Our 4th Annual Business After Hours was another huge success! Many local
businesspeople from the area came out to the firm event to network with
one another and enjoy food provided by

The Mooresville Artist Guild held its 9th Annual Youth Art Show in March 2013. Homesley and Wingo was a sponsor of the event, which was held in the Art Depot in downtown Mooresville. In addition to the winning exhibits chosen for the Mooresville Artist Guild, sponsor Homesley & Wingo Law Group had the honor of viewing the pieces and choosing a favorite piece to present the Sponsor Award to.

which was held on September 21, 2012 on the front lawn of the law firm.
Beautiful blue skies brought a crowd of around 1,500 people. Guests enjoyed
burritos from Pueblo Grande, beverages from Foothills Brewing and music
all courtesy of the law firm. Donations were accepted for the Mooresville
Christian Mission and the Serenity House. The event this year raised in
excess of $7,000.00.

The Mooresville Artist Guild held its 8th Annual Youth Art Show in March 2012. Homesley and Wingo was a sponsor of the event, which was held in the old train depot in downtown Mooresville. In addition to the winning exhibits chosen by five judges for the Mooresville Artist Guild, sponsor Homesley & Wingo Law Group had the honor of viewing the pieces and choosing a favorite piece to present the Sponsor Award to. Attorney Cliff Homesley presented the Sponsor Award.
On May 30, 2008, the firm hosted a stirring bluegrass performance by the
Knotts Family and Harvest Wind. Over 200 people enjoyed the performance where Harvest
Wind played many of the original songs on their upcoming CD. Click for

The law firm has hosted numerous performances over the years. Over fifteen
gospel groups have performed at the law firm including such well known
performers as Day One, Harvest Wind, Noble Guest and the Highly Favored,
the Carolina Travelers, Reach, the
Joyful Hearts and many others.
Musical Performance by David Childers and the Modern Don Juans
Secular performers have included internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter David Childers and the Modern Don Juans who performed at the Steven Sherrill books signing. Other performers who have graced the front porch are Herb Stephens, accomplished jazz guitarist and Sergio Agraz, a Latin guitar virtuoso. Jon Smith, formerly of the Edgar Winter Group has played saxophone. Robin Rogers and her husband Tony performed at Blues and Burritos in 2004 and Max Drake and Shelia Carlisle performed in 2005.
On May 14, 2008 over 200 people attended Business Before Hours hosted by the firm and LaPatisserie. Guests were treated to the special coffee and pastries of the La Patisserie and the Persian music of Naghmeh Ensemble. Numerous door prizes were given away.
Over 1,000 people attended the Eighth Annual Blues and Burritos. Everyone
enjoyed beverages from Carolina Beer & Beverage and food from Pueblo
Grande with music from a phenomenal lineup: Laura Blackley opened the
show, followed by Rusty Barkley and the Part Times Blues Band with special
guests, Pat Cohen (aka “Mother Blues”) and Nicolette Emanuelle.
The firm underwrites the cost of the event which raised more than $5,000.00
that was distributed to HealthReach Community Clinic and the Depot Arts
Center. Carolina Beer donated the cost of the beverages to HealthReach.

The 10th Annual Blues & Burritos was a success! An estimated 1300 -
1500 people flocked to our lawn on September 17, 2010. The evening featured
“Steady Rollin” Bob Margolin, Rusty Barkley and the Part-Time
Blues Band, Max Drake, Shelia Carlisle, and Pat “Mother Blues”
Cohen. At the end of the evening, donations from the 10th Annual Blues
& Burritos totaled over $10,000.00, a record! The partners and employees
of Homesley & Wingo were pleased with the turnout and generosity of
the Mooresville Community.
Partner Andrew Wingo said, “We are very excited that our 10th annual
Blues & Burritos was the largest and most successful that we’ve
ever had!”

Indianapolis, Indiana
Cliff Homesley was a presenter at The Racing Attorney Conference (TRAC) which was held at the Conrad Hotel in Indianapolis on April 13-14, 2011. Participants included attorneys representing NASCAR and IndyCar as well as attorneys representing race teams, drivers, sponsors, licensing companies and speedways including the attorneys for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Cliff participated in a panel discussion of attachment and emergency and injunctive relief in North Carolina and Indiana. Other participants on Cliff’s panel were William Bray of Charlotte and Joel Tregasser of Indianapolis. The highlight of the conference was the keynote address at the luncheon on Thursday. The speaker was Randy Bernard who has been CEO of IndyCar for a year or so. Mr. Bernard informed the audience of the dynamic changes that he is bringing to the series in an effort to expand its fan base. Cliff will be returning to Indianapolis on Memorial Day weekend to attend the Indy 500 with client Doug Barnett who handles GEICO’s participation in IndyCar and NASCAR and to also visit with client Bill Simpson, racing legend.
2011 Business After Hours was a hit! Many businesspeople from the Mooresville area came to the front lawn of our firm to network with one another. Jazz band Actual Proof entertained guests well into the evening, along with made on site tacos from Prickly Pear. Kyle Busch's Dollar General Truck from the Camping World Truck Series was a smash, prompting great photo opportunities! The evening ended with casual conversation on the front porch as guests mingled with one another over beverages and business cards.
The Eleventh Annual Blues and Burritos was held on September 16, 2011. Despite threatening skies, a crowd of around 750 people attended and enjoyed burritos, beverages and music. Donations were accepted for HealthReach Community Clinic and the Serenity House. The event this year raised in excess of $13,000.00, helped in large part by a substantial donation from Cecile’ Ebert and the Ebert Foundation.
